Created in 1966, this ever-popular sneaker has never been as widely interpreted as it is today. From the virtually unchanged classic design to extreme-sports styles and retro platforms, Vans appeal to every kid with an individual sense of style. These sneakers aren’t just for skateboarding boys in saggin’ pants. Vans have also been spotted on the feet of elementary-school girls, poking out beneath long flowered dresses straight out of “Little House on the Prairie.”
