Gucci has won a court pirates from China

gucci-has-won-a-court-pirates-from-chinaItalian design house Gucci has won a lawsuit against a Chinese manufacturer of shoes, which used his trademark. But the amount payable will be much smaller than the one that originally requested.

Senda Group penalized in damages to pay 180,000 yuan (about $ 26 000), and the other accused – a Shanghai department store, which sold shoes – to clear their shelves of counterfeit products.

The lawsuit, brought by Gucci, they talked about the amount of 610,000 yuan, but the court ruled that, despite the obvious falsification, trading department is not obliged to pay damages, because the leadership of the violation is not known.

Gucci representatives told the court that the company, from August 2006 to selling fake shoes costs 187 yuan for a pair, which is about 5% of the value of authentic Gucci sandals.

The company Gucci was founded in Florence at the turn of XIX and XX centuries. There is a huge empire of clothing, footwear, accessories and perfume – a symbol of prestige and modern style.
