Let’s be honest, ballerina flats, which made a huge comeback in 2011, are absolutely everywhere. Every other girl on the street sports the Tory Burch logo flats, or some version of them, making the whole flat trend rather, well, flat. I rarely ever find a decent pair of flats, and although I’m not the biggest fan of the French Sole flats (pictured above), I’m a bit intrigued by the use of cork. Cork, like flats themselves, made a reappearance in the early 1990s, and after almost two decades of keeping it low key in wine bottles and on college dorm walls, cork is, once again, back. These flats are for the more conservative, classic dresser, but throw on a few studs or buckles and I think I’d be sold!

French Sole gold leather ballerinas with silver trim & silver heel. These are all leather, inside & out. Lovely soft gold metalic wit silver metalic trim & silver metalic heel cap. The shape of these is more round at the toe. They are a good fit in width, although cut a little lower at the side, but higher in the heel which means they feel secure on the foot. These are a custom finish for us  !

French Sole’s baby blue and off white “waffle” flats have diamond-shaped cutouts that provide a breezy, allover detail to a leather flat. The shoes are embellished with an oversized buckle at the toe and are made from a leather upper with a synthetic lining and a rubber sole.
