Coco Chanel, an example of fashion
Coco Chanel was born in France in 1883, his real name was Gabriel Bonheur. It was a great revolutionary and defender of women. Creator of one of the best known brands around the world, was not an easy start as some may imagine. His mother died shortly after birth and her father in despair abandoned in an orphanage, leaving the care of nuns (who always wanted to hide data).
He saw women as men, ie women was equal to or more layers to the great couturiers of the time. Dictated that women should be free, and as such, could dress any way you want, including jackets and pants, as did the men.
He began his career as a milliner in 1914, and in that decade his style takes hold, even though years later with the great success of the hats manage to open his first boutique of clothing, which first displayed his jacket and straight skirt, “Chanel style.
He despised the corsets, she says, just locked up the woman, and so creating a new image of women’s S.XX. he designed for working women and independent. I thought she needed to wear comfortable and subtle work, but still displaying elegance and feeling beautiful and feminine.
During World War II was in exile in Switzerland but returned to Paris in 1954 with no problems to continue his legacy.
The suit jacket, tailored menswear for women, black, perfume, etc, are details that made Chanel one of world’s most prestigious brands.
After the adventure, and romance, Coco Chanel died in a boat trip for his next collection in 1971.
